The foot, also known as antivibration, in the most general conception of the term is an industrial technical product composed of a base and a screw, used to support different types of apparatus.
The leveling foot, especially in the last 30 years, has become an integral part of the product package necessary for the assembly of a machine: if placed side by side with other technical articles of undoubted synergy it can in fact guarantee great satisfactions to those who want to actively propose it to their customers.
Usually used for leveling and as a support, it is used in endless fields.
Among the most common we can certainly mention the machinery (in the broadest sense of the term); any type of machine, in fact, is set up on wheels (castors & wheels) or leveling feet (adjustable feet) according to need: from the most recent ones with numerical control such as lathes, cutters, work centers, water / laser cutting / plasma, or for the processing of wood, textiles, glass, ceramics, paper and tobacco, to machines that are more commonly used, but demanding in terms of hygiene, in the packaging, meat, dairy, bottling industry, up to to the military, solar and renewable energy industries, without forgetting the chemical, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries from the exacting hygienic standards.
The foot is a relatively simple artifact, technically speaking, but the various industrial needs, especially of the most advanced economies such as the high performance of materials strictly compliant with REACH and RoHS regulations or simply with a sophisticated design, make it a difficult item to to deal.
If the foot was not 100% reliable the performance of the machine would be affected.
The difficulty in finding quality items on the market at an affordable price and having immediate availability could discourage anyone. In fact, the almost infinite variations of a single article make keeping this product in stock rather complicated, unless an important financial commitment is made. But our reality has amply demonstrated to us how much this effort will pay in the end: being able to provide customers quickly is the key today to win market shares even more than the price.
Feet and operating elements: infinite uses
Other applications such as conveyor belts, palletizers, mechanical arms, household appliances, shelving, scales, presses, electrical cabinets and many others find the ideal support in the foot. Our proven experience, together with that of our Italian and foreign partners, confirms that the ideal synergy to successfully propose and sell these supports is obtained by combining the item with other product packages, rather than proposing it individually.
The transmission components (power transmission) are the heart of the automation and have in its range items such as bearings, gearboxes and gearmotors, or belts, chains and guidelines for the transmission of motion can be a winner.
Another happy coupling is undoubtedly the so-called operating elements or standard elements: handles, hinges, knobs, closures and all those items of completion to the structure of a machine that go very well with the foot.
As a last partnership it is worth mentioning the anti-vibration mountings. Buffers, silent blocks, shock absorbers etc are articles with proven synergy. Even if this could open a door on which we do not want to penetrate in view of the specific technicality required, the foot is often approached to the anti-vibration mount in the strict sense of the term. In its vast range, Martin offers valuable products designed to solve the most common vibration problems, which make it possible to further expand sales horizons.
